Overview

An NFC business card holds a link on a small chip. Tap the card on a phone and the link opens — usually a contact card (vCard), website, portfolio or booking page. Most recent iPhones and Android phones with NFC switched on read it without an app. We print a QR code fallback on the card for phones that don’t.

No subscription needed

Many “digital business card” brands charge monthly for the page your card points to. The chip itself doesn’t need one: it can hold a link to any page you control, such as your website or a contact page. If you want to change where the card points later, link it to a page you can edit. Ask on your quote about editable-link options for teams.

Cards for the whole team

Order one design with each person’s name and their own encoded link — every card is printed and programmed individually from a spreadsheet. The same cards make good tap-to-review cards for counters and receptions, pointing at your Google review page.

FAQs

Do NFC business cards work with iPhone?

Yes — recent iPhones read NFC tags in the background, and most Android phones do when NFC is switched on. A printed QR code covers older phones.

Do I need an app or a monthly subscription?

No app is needed to read the card. The chip simply holds a link, so you can point it at a page you control without a subscription.

Can I change the link later?

If the chip isn’t locked it can be rewritten, or you can point it at a page you edit yourself. Tell us which you prefer when you order.

Ready to specify it?

Send the quantity, finish and anything the card has to work with. We confirm stock, compatibility and price before anything is printed.
